At its first global Town Hall event of the year, Wyndham today affirmed its ongoing commitment to support human trafficking awareness and prevention efforts and announced its donation of 1 million Wyndham Rewards points to Polaris, a leader in the global fight to eradicate human trafficking.

“We condemn human trafficking in any form,” said Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President and Chief Executive Officer Geoff Ballotti. “In recognition of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we want to reinforce our partnerships with Polaris and other important anti-trafficking organizations, while continuing to educate the hospitality community on how to help identify and report trafficking activities.” Wyndham mandates human trafficking training for all company employees globally.
Polaris acts as a catalyst to systemically disrupt human trafficking by helping survivors restore their freedom, preventing more victims, and leveraging data and technology to pursue traffickers wherever they operate. Polaris uses Wyndham Rewards points in part for short-term stays for victims so they have a safe place to sleep while waiting for a spot in a shelter to open.
“Having a safe place to stay, even just overnight, is a vital first step in helping sex and labor trafficking survivors break free from their situations,” said Emily Tracy, chief development officer for Polaris, who received the points donation at today’s event. “Wyndham’s donation – one of many over the course of our 10-year partnership – will help survivors to move forward with their lives. World’s largest hotel franchising company to open new hotels in central Muscat
DUBAI, 10th December 2019 — Wyndham Hotels & Resorts – the world’s largest hotel franchising company with over 9,200 hotels across more than 80 countries – continues to ramp up its expansion across the Middle East with the opening of two new hotels in Muscat, Oman.
Marking the introduction of the Wyndham Garden and Ramada Encore by Wyndham brands to Oman, the openings underscore Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to strengthening its portfolio in the market and further support Oman’s ambitious Vision 2040 programme, which includes a focus on developing the country’s mid-market hotel sector and creating more job opportunities, in a bid to welcome 11 million visitors to the Sultanate by 2040.
Over the past year, the Sultanate has become an increasingly popular destination for travellers, witnessing an increase of more than 25% in inbound visitors in the first six months of 2019 alone. The surge in visitor numbers follows the Ministry of Tourism’s sustained efforts to promote Oman as a key travel destination and attract investment to the sector.

Set across eight floors and bringing 143 new rooms and suites to the city, Wyndham Garden Muscat Al Khuwair is expected to open later this month. Located on Sultan Qaboos Street, just 20 minutes from Muscat International Airport, the new hotel boasts state-of-the art leisure facilities with two swimming pools, steam rooms and saunas, as well as three food and beverage outlets. Part of a mixed-use development including a shopping mall and an office tower, the hotel will also feature five well-appointed corporate meeting rooms, making it an ideal destination for business events.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Muscat Al Ghubra will open in March 2020 and will be located in the heart of Muscat, next to the Al Ghubra roundabout on Sultan Qaboos Street, just minutes away from three of the city’s major shopping malls. Wyshner has decided to step down as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, and move into a senior advisory role reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Geoff Ballotti until March 1, 2020.
“As the CFO of Wyndham Worldwide and later Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, David was absolutely instrumental in the divestiture of our European Vacation Rentals Business, the acquisition of La Quinta Holdings, our spin-off from our parent company, establishing a new Finance leadership team and setting us up for the future. We are sincerely grateful for all that David has done to transition our new company for success,” said Mr. Ballotti.

World’s largest hotel franchising company bolsters brand offering through new openings across the region
MOSCOW – 26th November 2019 – Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with over 9,200 hotels and 20 brands across more than 80 countries, continues to grow its international portfolio of hotels, with plans to open 15 new hotels in Russia and neighbouring countries within the next two years. This expansion will significantly boost Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ footprint in the region, reaching 35 operational hotels and over 5,700 rooms by 2021 across a number of key markets including Russia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Georgia
Wyndham’s ambitious growth plan in the region will see the addition of seven new hotels and over 1,300 rooms in Georgia alone. The new openings will further grow the Company’s current presence in Tbilisi, and Batumi, with the addition of new destinations in Kutaisi and Goderdzi, including a mountain ski resort in the south of the country. Since entering Georgia in 2016 with just one hotel, Wyndham has gained strong momentum in the market, with the introduction of Wyndham Grand® and Ramada Encore® by Wyndham in Tbilisi. Overall, the Company has plans to reach 10 hotels in the next two years across a range of hotel brands and segments, including Wyndham Garden®, Ramada® and TRYP® by Wyndham, as well as the design-focused economy brand Super 8® by Wyndham.
Russia
Growth plans for Russia will see the continued expansion of the Ramada by Wyndham brand with a new hotel in Kislovodsk next year, adding to a strong portfolio of six Ramada by Wyndham hotels across the country. In addition, Wyndham will launch the Ramada Encore by Wyndham brand in the market, with a new construction hotel in Yekaterinburg in 2020, and an additional opening in St. Petersburg by 2025.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
Furthermore, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is continuing solid growth in Kazakhstan with the addition of two hotels in the resort village of Burabay and in the city of Shymkent in 2020. Other upcoming additions will include new hotels in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent and the historic city Bukhara.

Driving Global Growth

New Brands in New Markets: Five Wyndham brands have opened in new markets this year, including Days Inn in New Zealand; Microtel in China; Ramada® by Wyndham in Armenia; Wyndham® in Malaysia; and Wyndham Garden in Argentina, Australia and the Philippines. Vietnam – Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake: Located in Hanoi’s Giang Vo ward just 10 minutes from the city center, this 441-room hotel is expected to open in late 2019. The hotel will showcase an opulent, gold-inspired design as well as extensive facilities including multiple dining options, retail outlets, conference and wedding facilities, a fitness center and day spa, and a gold-tiled infinity pool overlooking the city.
France – Dolce by Wyndham Versailles: Expected to open in autumn 2020, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles will be an exceptional venue located in the Domaine du Montcel, inspired by an English garden, just a stone’s throw from HEC School of Management, 15 minutes to Versailles Palace and 30 minutes to Orly Airport and La Défense. With 15 meeting and reception rooms, 178 guest rooms, two restaurants, a bar, a stylish spa and a 34-acre park, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles will offer the subtle balance between authentic French elegance and contemporary comfort.
Greece – Akti Imperial Hotel & Convention Center, Dolce by Wyndham: Dolce welcomes the largest convention center in southeastern Europe, offering planners 242,190 square feet (22,500 square meters) of flexible space that can accommodate up to 8,000 conference guests or 2,500 banquet guests. Among 32 polished event venues, meeting planners will find a variety of meeting rooms and an impressive banquet facility, all featuring free Wi-Fi and the latest technology. The hotel’s lush garden and beautiful Ixia Beach can also be customized for a cocktail reception or wedding ceremony.
Marking its entry into Denmark, Wyndham has also collaborated with Comwell Hotels in an exclusive agreement to open multiple Dolce hotels in the Scandinavian hotspot:
Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Dolce by Wyndham: Expected to open in 2021, this newly built hotel will be located in Trælastholmen, in the vibrant district of Nordhavn. Situated right next to the harbor with easy access to many recreational areas, the hotel will feature captivating architecture inspired by Copenhagen’s historical warehouses. It will boast 484 rooms, 17 conference rooms and modern facilities including a restaurant, bar and two green atriums.
Comwell Aarhus, Dolce by Wyndham: Centrally located in Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, this hotel is close to the harbor and surrounded by cozy cafes and restaurants. The hotel is currently open and offers 240 rooms, as well as a versatile conference space, restaurant and bar. The hotel offers guests wonderful views of Aarhus, and features stylish and urban décor, furnished by the Danish design company HAY.
Recently Renovated Spaces
In addition to new destinations, the brand is enhancing its hotels in the U.S. and debuting two renovations this year:
Seaview, a Dolce Hotel on the New Jersey Shore: Seaview is showcasing a new look inspired by its historic past following an $18 million dollar renovation of its 298 guest rooms and public spaces, including updates to the hotel’s dining and meeting areas. Boasting 34,500 square feet of event space with packages for both indoor and outdoor weddings, the hotel offers state-of-the-art meeting facilities across 21 meeting rooms designed specifically to stimulate productivity and creative thinking.
Dolce Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado: Dolce Cheyenne Mountain Resort is debuting a new multimillion dollar renovation to guest rooms and public spaces inspired by the hotel’s scenic backdrop across 217 acres with views of the Colorado Rockies. Copenhagen, 28th August 2019 – Wyndham Hotels & Resorts – the world’s largest hotel franchising company with approximately 9,200 hotels in more than 80 countries – and Comwell Hotels – an award-winning hotel chain in Denmark – today announced the signing of an exclusive agreement to open multiple hotels under the Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham brand in Denmark. The collaboration, which marks Wyndham’s first entry in the country, will initially include two openings in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

The survey offers insight on the distinct experience of business travel in the summer, including surviving stuffy conference rooms, being spotted in a bathing suit by coworkers, squeezing in some time for sightseeing and rushing to make it home in time for back-to-school prep. La Quinta makes it easy for business travelers to succeed in every season with amenities like free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, signature comfortable bedding and the ability to earn and redeem rewards points with Wyndham Rewards.

SURVEY SAYS: SUMMER IS BLEISURE SEASON
La Quinta’s survey tapped into the mindset of today’s business traveler during the busy summer and back-to-school months to determine how the season might impact their decision-making while on the road:
I Need a Vacation
Under the radar: Nearly two-thirds (64%) of business travelers who have extended a trip have done so secretly for personal vacation without telling someone, including their coworkers (32%), boss (26%) and even their own partner (22%)
New territory: More than half (51%) of these business travelers have extended their business trips to explore the destination
‘Tis the sea-sun: For 56% of business travelers, summer is the best time to extend a business trip for a personal vacation
Vacation daze: On average, business travelers extended a trip for three days, with 42% of business travelers extending three to five days
Recharge your batteries: Nearly 3 in 10 (29%) business travelers have skipped out on a meeting or work event to take a nap or do something restful while on a business trip
Heat Wave
It’s getting hot in here: Sixty-five percent of career commuters say that being stuck in a conference room with no air conditioning during a summer business trip would be worse than having to wear a swimsuit in front of colleagues (35%)
Sweat suit: Eighty-two percent of male business travelers are more likely to pack extra clothing on a summer business trip than they would for another season
Look cool, feel cool: Given a choice between dressing well and dressing comfortably, business travelers would rather look cool (53%) than feel cool (47%) on a summer business trip
A cold one: Nearly three in four (74%) business travelers have skipped a work event while on a business trip, 31% of whom did something social with friends instead such as go to a bar or restaurant
On the Home Front
Me time: Forty-three percent of business travelers with children in school have extended a business trip by one to two days specifically to take time for themselves
There in spirit: Nearly all business travelers (95%) with school-age kids miss some school-related activities due to business travel; three in four (75%) business travelers miss activities frequently
Homework helper: While on a business trip, 69% of business travelers stay connected with their children when school is in session to make sure they get their homework done
Pur-ferred travel companion: Three in ten (30%) business travelers with kids and pets say they would prefer to travel with their pet and leave the kids at home

Ramada by Wyndham Kapurthala: Located on the Jalandhar – Kapurthala highway near Pushpa Gujral Science City, the hotel is the first Ramada by Wyndham hotel in Kapurthala. This 69-key, amenity-rich hotel features comfortable guest rooms, a pool, health club, and expansive event space along with a restaurant, bar, and lounge. The hotel opened in March 2019.
Ramada by Wyndham Bengaluru Yelahanka: The first Ramada by Wyndham hotel in Bengaluru, this 80-room hotel opened in May 2019. It is spread across five acres of landscaped gardens and offers multiple conference and leisure facilities, including a pool, spa and a fitness centre.
Ramada by Wyndham Jaipur Jaisinghpura: Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a short drive from the Amber Fort & Palace, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar, this 97-room contemporary hotel is the third Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property in Jaipur. Opened in June 2019, the hotel offers substantial meeting facilities, a gym, outdoor swimming pool and two restaurants.
Ramada Plaza Lucknow Hotel & Convention Centre: this new-construction upscale hotel is part of a dual development with the existing Ramada by Wyndham Lucknow and features 207 rooms. It also has an executive lounge and convention centre featuring large meeting and events facilities with outdoor lawns, three on-site cafes and restaurants, a retail shop,
and even an art gallery. The hotel has easy access to Lucknow’s International Airport and Kanpur City.
Some of the anticipated openings in India by 2020 include:
Ramada by Wyndham Gandhidham Shinay: Situated in Gandhidham, the economic capital of the Kutch Region of Gujarat in West India, this new-construction hotel will feature 60 contemporary guest rooms, large meeting and banqueting facilities with lawns for outdoor events, on-site cafes and restaurants, a spa, fitness centre and an outdoor pool – as well as easy access to Kandla and Mundra ports. The hotel is expected to open in early 2020.
Ramada by Wyndham Aligarh GT Road: Located in an important business centre of Uttar Pradesh in Central India, this 60-room new-construction hotel will offer well-appointed guest rooms, multiple meetings and events spaces, and a range of leisure facilities. The hotel will offer direct access to GT Road, connecting Aligarh with Delhi, and is expected to open in early 2020.
Ramada by Wyndham Thiruvananthapuram: Situated in the capital city of the Southern Indian state of Kerala, the hotel is expected to open in early 2020, and will offer 108 well-appointed rooms, meeting and events facilities, three restaurants, a retail outlet, gym and a rooftop swimming pool. The hotel is a short drive from Trivandrum International Airport and the railway station, as well as main local attractions.
